It’s been a while

It’s been a while since I wrote my last blog. I have been busy, having published two poetry books within that time, with a third now with the editor. I will leave the poetry for a while – it is an expensive business putting books out the way I do.

I gave a list of things for my friend, Helen, to do for me, which included an update of this website. I opted for a more simplistic look, now that there are five of my books. This included removing the cloud background and all the other material on the front page, uploading the second poetry book, and reinstating Who Is Me? on Amazon, after having removed it from Balboa. Some of this work was quite time consuming for Helen. I always appreciate her help as I am really quite naïve when it comes to that kind of work.

It was going onto my website again and seeing the blog pictures at the bottom of the first page that prompted me to write another, mainly to add a better picture. There is only so much writing a person can do in one day and when I was creating my poems, that was what was taking up my writing time.

I am pleased to have this work done and hopefully, other than adding my next book, there won’t be too much to do in the near future.

I was surprised with just how much work was involved in republishing Who Is Me?  When they returned the manuscript, they said it was print ready, but in fact there was still much to do, which also included getting new ISBN numbers and re-writing the copyright page. There were also a few corrections to make, having noticed errors in the original text. I will see how buying on demand from Amazon goes. If it works, I will do it that way, if not, at some stage, I will get another print run done.

Well, that brings me up to date in the writing world. Let’s see if I can remember how to upload this.
